No problem getting enough fibre today. Had my usual 4.5 g of fibre from breakfast, 2g with my morning snack, almost 10g with lunch and another 5g in the Sponser Protein Snack bar. Of course over 20g of fibre came from the Cook Caribbean pot with all its beans, lentils and brown rice!
No, today’s problem was the after dinner one. My husband and I were both home late so we had separate dinners. I had chosen my healthy Cook pot for dinner, followed by a bit of dark chocolate for a treat, and was content. Then my husband comes home with Champagne! Can’t really say no to that can you? And of course once you start drinking, it becomes much easier to eat more. So I was at a respectable 1770 calories for the day, with an almost perfect nutrient balance, but after champagne and cheese I finished the day at 2022 calories with far too few carbohydrates.
Now I have no regrets, as life is meant to be lived and enjoyed, and I am thrilled to be with someone who thinks to bring me treats. It’s just that this is the fourth day of this week where my daily calories have topped 2000. I’ve done all my workouts for the week, so I doubt I will actually gain weight, but if you’re trying to lose weight you can’t out train an unhealthy diet. And I will really have to focus during my rest week next week, as I will only be doing a couple of light training sessions instead of the five relatively heavy sessions a week I have been doing for the past three weeks.
