Resting My Back

Spent all of yesterday flat on my back in bed or in the bath, trying to ease some serious back pain. I still don’t know what I did to it but my back got steadily worse all morning until I could hardly move. Needed my husband’s help just to get in and out of bed or a chair, couldn’t brush my teeth since that involved too much bending over, could hardly walk from one room to the next . . .

It did mean I spent a large portion of the day either napping or in the bath, so not really hungry. This is why both lunch and dinner were one pot microwave jobs with less than 350 calories each (plus they are super easy to make and eat). However, when I was awake and all I could do is watch TV, I did get a serious urge to snack. So yesterday’s calorie count was below 1800 but the rest of my health measures were not so good. Low in protein, low in fibre, low in fruits and vegetables. Something like 33% of yesterday’s calories came from cake and chocolate, and that’s not including the popcorn! I know I can do better than that!

Looks like today is going to be another day at home resting my back, so I'll have to send my husband out for healthier eats!
